Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI), known by its trademark Q8, is the international downstream subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, ranked as one of the world’s largest national oil companies. Established in 1983, KPI today employs approximately 3000 professionals from all over the world, and markets over 400,000 barrels per day throughout all of its business. This ranges from its aviation business, providing over 60 airlines with jet fuel in major airport hubs and through more than 3500 retail service stations across Europe under its brands, Q8, Q8Easy, OKQ8 and Tango. In addition it also runs two state-of-the-art lubricant blending plants in Belgium and Italy under the brand Q8Oils and owns shares in three joint venture refineries in Italy (Milazzo Refinery), Vietnam (NSRP refinery), and Oman (Duqum Refinery).
Bapco is a unique company, which has never stood still. The first to discover oil in the Arabian Peninsula in 1932, it started exporting in 1934, and refining in 1936. Bapco, wholly owned by the Government of Bahrain, is engaged in the oil industry including refining, distribution of petroleum products and natural gas, sales and exports of crude oil and refined products.
The company owns a 260,000 barrel-a-day refinery, storage facilities for more than 14 million barrels, a marketing terminal, and a marine terminal for its petroleum products. Ninety-five percent of its refined products are exported. Bapco’s prime customers for crude oil are based in the Middle East, India, the Far East, South East Asia, and Africa.
ADNOC Refining, a joint venture company between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Eni, and OMV, is a UAE-based refiner that annually supplies more than 40 million tons of high-quality refined products to markets around the world. We have been operating in Abu Dhabi for more than 40 years and our facilities are jointly able to refine around a million barrels of crude oil and condensates per day. We operate the world's fourth-largest single-train refinery in Al Ruways in Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafra region. It is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and its unique location allows us to rapidly meet our clients' needs across the globe. Domestically, we operate a 1,600 kilometer pipeline network to ensure local customers are supplied on demand. As a forward-looking refiner, we invest heavily in research, development and innovation to enable profitable growth and long-term value for the UAE. We are dedicated to maintaining 100% safety and recently achieved an industry leading 75 million manhours of continuous work without any Lost Time Injuries (LTI).
